Spreading My Wisdom

I was recently added (yesterday) as an Alumni Blogger for my alma mater, Assumption College.  This is pretty cool, because I still love Assumption, and I feel that I have a lot to offer the studentry and perhaps even the faculty/staff.
So now that makes four blogs I post on: here, The Capoeira Blog, and Assumption College [...]

Yeah, once again, I’ve gone with a total design change.
For some reason, I’ve become enamored with a “minimalist” feel.  I was also partly inspired by some stuff I’ve read in ProBlogger’s 31 Days To Building A Better Blog series.  But the main reason for the change was because the last theme I had really screwed up posts with [...]

I recently took part in an interesting experiment.  Michael from Michael Haislip helps you make money online asked me to take a Jungian personality test as part of an unscientific study he was conducting on how a person’s personality type affects their blog.
I lamented that the test was long and a bit unfriendly (the questions [...]

If you read other blogs, you may have noticed a meme going around that has bloggers list eight random things about themselves.  Now it’s my turn to join in on the action, thanks to Mighty Bargain Hunter.

My top right incisor is chipped, I look like Jim Carrey if the bonding isn’t there.  It broke when [...]

So Jeremy over at Gen X Finance opened my eyes to how Feedburner could be used even if I don’t have a self-hosted blog.  So I decided to try it out.
If you want to subscribe to my RSS feed, notice on the top of the right sidebar where it says Faisca’s Feedburner.  Click that bad [...]

I don’t have any delusions of grandeur about this blog.  It’s not popular, I don’t have tons of hits every day, and given the limited WordPress tracking capabilities I don’t know how many regular readers I have (if I have any), nor do I know how many RSS subscribersI have (if I have any).
I write this [...]

I’m going to run a little test inspired by Paris Hilton.  It’s actually inspired by a couple of posts I’ve read recently on keywords, but Paris Hilton jumpstarted my idea.
If everything I read is true (which prior experience tells me it is), using keywords increases traffic to your blog, and Paris Hilton is quite familiar [...]

I’ve recently started to read a lot of new blogs.  I’ve even become hip to RSS feeds and I’m using Google Reader like it’s going out of style.
This has inspired me.
Forever my blog has mostly been an outlet for my personal opinion on whatever I want to talk about.  It hasn’t really had a focus, [...]

The Colors

They have been changed.
I like blue. Blue is my favorite color. If I ever do anything that lets me choose colors, I inevitably choose blue. I tried to switch it up with this blog, but the blue has taken over again.
This is not to say that I am blue (depressed, sad, down, [...]

Well I have decided to follow in the steps of the great Mike Murray and the noble Theophilus and get myself a wordpress blog. I liked the look and capabilities better than blogger, so we’ll see how it works out.
Stay tuned.
